Platte Valley Academy
Text
On this site stood a boarding high school owned and operated by the Seventh-day Adventist church, founded to give young people in this region an opportunity to receive a Christian education. Attendance peaked at about 200 in the 1980s. Its highly respected dairy operation provided employment for many students. The original 80 acres expanded to 800 acres of irrigated farmland. The crops continue to fund Seventh-day Adventist education. The legacy of Platte Valley Academy lives on in the church and community.
